"The vision of Osun State government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke at building an enviable standard of education to give future generation better tomorrow is highly commendable".
These were the words of the Executive Chairman, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, Hon. Ibukun Fadipe while declaring open a 3-Day Jolly Phonics training Workshop for selected teachers across the three Senatorial Districts in the State.
Speaking further at the workshop organized by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Abuja, in collaboration with Osun SUBEB for selected Primary School teachers across the three senatorial Districts in the state, Hon. Fadipe enjoined all primary School teachers across the state to complement the huge financial commitments of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the quest to reposition the state's education sector.
The Osun SUBEB boss, therefore urged the participants to give their support to the development of the State education sector through efficient delivery of knowledge gained at the training Workshop in their schools to brighten the future of the young generation.
In his address the Osun SUBEB Executive Secretary, Mr Yahaya Bakare, appreciated UBEC on its regular efforts and support towards improving the quality of teaching and learning in public schools, most especially at basic level.
Mr Bakare, then urged the participants to live up to expectations at ensuring that they display high level of dedication throughout the period of the training exercise for improved learning out come in the basic school learners reading and writing skills for utmost academic results.
In their separate remarks, the representative of UBEC Secretary, Noel Djossou, and the lead of the facilitators, Mr Seyi Alake commended Osun State Government through the leadership of Osun SUBEB on their unrelenting efforts at ensuring that effectiveness and efficiency are entrenched in the reading and writing skills of learners at basic education level.
They enjoined the participants to give the training all seriousness it deserves and make good use of the knowledge gained in their various schools in order to yield better results on the school learners so they could compete academically with their colleagues anywhere in the World.
