Tricycle operators in Osun State have been told to ensure that they get all necessary documents for their automobiles henceforth.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Transportation, Hon. Yakubu Adejare.
The Special Adviser through the statement urged the tricycle operators to get documents such as hackney permit, road worthiness as well as vehicle licence.
He said tricycle operators are now being used by men of the underworld to wreck havoc on unsuspecting innocent residents of the State and they go scot free because they don't have any particulars with government.
Hon. Adejare warned through the statement that violators of the rules will henceforth be made to pay full penalties as it is now regarded as a traffic offence for tricycle owners to operate without necessary documents.
The statement reads in part, "We have recently discovered that a lot of tricycle operators in Osun State are on the roads without necessary documents. It is regarded as a traffic offence henceforth.
"All tricycle operators must ensure they get necessary documents before they hit the road with their automobiles. Men of OTRAM and the VIO officials will begin to do a stop and search operation soon.
"Tricycles are being used to perpetrates evil by men of the underworld, any of operator that refuse to get it's particulars will henceforth be regarded as an agent of evil". He stated.

Contractors handling various ongoing projects across the State have been urged to ensure quality service delivery for the projects to stand the test of time.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engr Basiru Bello stated this during a meeting with the contractors in his office.
While speaking with the contractors, he urged them not to betray the trust the State government has in them by ensuring that projects are carried out according specifications.
Engr. Bello noted that Governor Ademola Adeleke is a man who wants only the best for people of Osun State and will never accept any act that will jeopardize the interest of residents of the State.
In his words, "We have a Governor who will never compromise on quality, we have a Governor who wants only the best for his people and will not take anything less.
"I implore you all to carry out the various projects you are handling according to specifications, you must not compromise on standard please. Osun people deserves the best, these are projects that are being done with tax payers money.
"We want projects that will stand the test of time for our people, i urge you to handle these projects as your own projects please, we can't afford to let residents of the State down". He stated.

Contractors handling SUBEB projects have been charged to construct standard school building that will stand the test of time, thereby enhancing quality education delivery for School learners in the State.
The Executive Chairman, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, Hon. Ibukun Fadipe stated this during a bid exercise for the Year 2023 UBEC/SUBEB Intervention Fund project opened with contractors at the Agency's Conference room in Osogbo.
The Chairman saluted the magnanimity of the Ademola Adeleke led administration and Federal Government Universal Basic Education Commission Abuja, on the provision of counterpart funds to make education accessible to Osun School learners as well as every Nigerian Child.
Hon. Fadipe then urged which ever bidder emerges the winner to do the job diligently and in accordance with the Government's agreed specifications, saying no shoddy execution of job will be allowed from any contractor.
The SUBEB Boss maintained that the Contractors should ensure that they construct good and standard building that will meet the test of time, stressing that such will benefit the present and future generation of Osun School learners.

The Management of the National Library Board, Osun State office has disclosed how the present administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke brought back the much needed debt respite with the clearing of its four year old tenancy debts where it presently has its office in Osogbo,the Osun Osun State capital.
In the same vein,it described the administration of Governor Adeleke as second to none in Nigeria for securing a large expanse of land for the building of its permanent office complex in Osogbo.
The Chief Librarian, National Library Board, Osun State, Mrs Oluyemisi Ayanyemi disclosed this while on a thank you visit to the office of the Commissioner for education,Hon.Dipo Eluwole.
She said the present administration in the State has displayed that Osun is truly ready to revamp the education sector for the benefit of all.
Mrs Ayanyemi particularly appreciated Governor Ademola Adeleke for coming to the aid of the National Library Board during its trying period just as she challenged other Governors in Nigeria to emulate the magnanimity of Governor Adeleke in Osun state .
Responding, Osun State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Dipo Eluwole who similarly appreciated a thank you visit of the Management of National Library of Nigeria,Osun State to his office,bemoaned the declining nature of the reading culture in Nigeria.
He told the team that,the the present administration will soon commence the digitization of the state owned library in addition to also ensuring that all libraries across the different Local Governments are brought to the required standard in line with the global best practices in the education sector.
He particularly bemoaned the reading culture amongst youth and adults alike.
The education commissioner enunciated that no efforts will be spared at reversing the trend to where it used to be in the days of yore.

Osun state Governor,Senator Ademola Adeleke has noted that in any democratic landscape either at the local ,state or national level in Nigeria,the importance of running an all inclusive governance can not be over emphasized.
According to Governor Adeleke entrenching such is an inroad to peace,unity and cohesion which in turn breeds an enabling democracy which is a catalyst for development.

The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has again reaffirmed his commitment to boost electricity supply in different parts of the state with a declaration that the era of non availability of power supply in Obokun Local Government Area of the State which spanned over a decade is now a thing of the past
Governor Adeleke stated this during the official flag-off ceremony of the construction and relocation of Obokun 33KV feeder line spanning from Osunjela to Ilesa-West Local Government Secretariat, Ilesha.
Governor Adeleke who expressed dissatisfaction with the abandonment of the project which started about 11 years ago recalled that during the period, people of Obokun Local Government Area suffered untold hardship, blackouts and economic loses.
He reiterated his administration's focus to make life good and bearable for all,adding that a robust plan is in the pipe to transform the State in all sectors especially energy and electricity through appropriate policy and legislation.
" I commend the Ministry of Energy for doing a good job on the making of the policy and the proposed legislation. I therefore direct the Ministry to develop an implementation plan with timelines, delivery and necessary stakeholders must be fully involved.
"We are acting fast on the energy space because power supply is an engine room of an economic growth, regular power supply boost economic activities and our vision is that Osun State is self sufficient in power supply and also export power to neighbouring states," the Governor said.
In his address of welcome, the Commissioner for Energy, Mr Festus Adeyemo noted that the flag-off is important to the socio-economic life of the people of the area and the state in general.
Adeyemo said the project was first awarded on January 25, 2013 with 30 per cent funding released to the contractor, but later abandoned due to non-funding and lack of interest by the successive administrations despite the danger it posed to the lives and property of the dwellers along the route of the Distribution Network.
He thanked Governor Adeleke for the speedy approval to the completion of the 33kv feeder line, adding that, when completed,it will supply electricity to four local governments; Ilesha West, Obokun, Boluwaduro, and Atakumosa West Local Governments.
In their separate goodwill messages, the traditional ruler of Kajola town, Oba Aderibigbe Omirin and the Iyaloja General of Ijesa land, Mrs Ogunteni Odutola appreciated the Governor for his developmental projects throughout the state.
