The Pan-Yoruba socio-political association, Afenifere, has censured the assault on the Catholic Church in Owo town, Ondo State.
The Organizing Secretary of the affiliation, Apagun Kole Omololu, in an explanation, said the episode was an immediate assault on the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, as well as Yoruba land.
The assertion read, "The slaughter in Owo Chatholic church is an immediate assault on Yoruba land.
"It is aimed at Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for his undeterred help for security in Yoruba land by supporting the Amatekun security equips, his tough maintaining of the open touching regulation, and for his 'loud mouth' about Southern co-activity for value and equity in Nigeria.
"We won't capitulate into psychological militant dangers or assault.
"They won't be permitted to cut down our civilisation. We will chase the executioners down. Residents shouldn't go rogue by going after guiltless northerners. Just the fear mongers, who are generally unfamiliar Fulani, ought to be fished out and polish off by the security powers.
"This assault is to create turmoil and cause battle in our territory. We shouldn't wander right into whatever they might have had planned. This evil is denounced in the most grounded term.
"We sympathize with the public authority and individuals of Ondo express, the Catholic Church, the Olowo of Owo and individuals of Owo. May the spirit of the left find happiness in the hereafter."
